Next stage of this bedroom transformation. The stripped feature wall has now been properly prepared and lined with lining paper, ready for emulsion. After removing wallpaper, I prefer lining the wall to help prevent problems such as blistering caused by old wallpaper paste trapped beneath the new paint. Do it properly, do it once. Back with a previous client today, transforming their main bedroom.

I’m stripping the existing feature wall before lining it to achieve a smooth, professional finish. The complete room, including the ceiling, will then be decorated in Dulux Timeless, a warm and versatile off-white.

For the skirting boards, doors and frames, I’ll be using Dulux Trade oil-based eggshell, my preferred choice for a durable, hard-wearing finish on interior woodwork.

MGK Painting & Decorating covers Crewkerne, Yeovil, Sherborne, Axminster, Merriott, South Petherton, Ilminster, Chard, Beaminster, Lyme Regis, Bridport and Martock.

Another happy client near Beaminster! 🎉

A lounge redecoration completed by MGK Painting & Decorating recently following plastering and interior structural works. The project required mist coats to newly plastered walls and ceilings before applying quality emulsion finishes throughout. The ceiling was painted with fresh white emulsion, while the walls were finished in the striking Green Smoke by Farrow & Ball, creating a beautiful and sophisticated living space.

The transformation is remarkable, and the room has been perfectly complemented by the client’s choice of lamps, soft furnishings, and décor, creating a warm, inviting, and stylish environment.

Big shoutout to Class 4 MOT Centre for getting the Mark MGK Painting & Decorating VW Caddy van back on the road! 🚐💨 From the first phone call, they were professional, friendly, and incredibly accommodating. They kept me updated every step of the way and managed to fit me in at very short notice, which was a lifesaver. The service was top-notch, and nothing felt like too much trouble. It’s rare to find a garage this reliable and easy to deal with. I’ll definitely be using them again and recommending them to all my clients and contacts.
