We’re open tomorrow, 10am–2pm, and then we’ll be closing for a week for our annual summer break. ☀️

I’m super excited for Cromer Carnival, which is where you’ll find me and my children having lots of fun!

What have we been up to over the last couple of weeks?

It’s definitely been more work and less play! Here’s a little snippet of some of the arrangements that have been leaving the shop recently. As always, it’s been such a privilege to create each and every one of them.

What we did manage to squeeze in was a workshop with the very lovely and talented Cromer Seamstress. Ivy and I attended together, and it was the perfect bit of mum-and-daughter time. It was so nice to switch off from work, even if only for a little while.

Nancy is proudly showing off a plant she brought home from nursery when she was just one year old. She’s now nearly five and off to school in September! We’ve somehow managed to keep her little plant thriving, and now it’s full of baby plants too.

I hope you’re all enjoying the sunshine and have managed to find a little time to relax as well.

Saturday seascape…

After one of those weeks where work seems to take over everything, today reminded me how important it is to make time for the simple things.

After work, Nancy and I enjoyed a gentle walk around the area we call the Old Zoo, just two minutes from my house. It’s a place of peace, fresh air and natural beauty that so many people enjoy.

It’s hard to believe this wonderful green space is being considered for development. I sincerely hope it isn’t. Places like this are becoming increasingly rare, and once they’re gone, we can never truly replace them. I hope these photos help you understand why so many of us want to see it protected.

I hope you can find a little time to get out into nature this weekend, even if it’s just 30 minutes like Nancy and I did today. Sometimes that’s all it takes to clear your mind and reset.

We are closed tomorrow (Sunday) but back open on Monday 9.30-3pm all refreshed and ready to go.

As it’s the summer holidays, I thought I’d get the girls involved in the shop!

This week they’ve each picked their favourite products.

Ivy chose our henna, which is proving incredibly popular with everyone!

Nancy picked these adorable felt birdies, which get lots of attention sitting by our front desk.

A little Monday retrospective 💕

Here I am looking back at this week in 2024. I have so many photos on my phone that I have never posted or have forgotten about. I want to look back and appreciate just how far I’ve come.

As usual, there was lots of colour and plenty of flowers!

The first week of the school summer holidays is always a bit of a balancing act... juggling work, family life and trying to soak up those precious moments together.

This week, I’ve tried to make a conscious effort not to let it be all about work. Here’s just a little glimpse of life at Sea of Flowers, alongside some lovely quality time with my girlies Felbrigg Hall National Trust .

It’s been a week full of the most beautiful purples and blues, creating both heartfelt funeral tributes and thoughtful gift bouquets. Every arrangement has been a privilege to create.

I’m open tomorrow as usual, Saturday 10am–2pm. Pop in for a browse and discover all sorts of quirky treasures…..you never know what you might find!

The Crab & Lobster Festival is taking place on 16th–17th May, and you may have spotted the beautifully designed surfboards displayed around town.

I’ve finally finished the dried floral tapestry surfboard, and if you love it as much as I do, you’ll be able to bid for it at the Grand Auction on 30th August.
