We’re hiring!

An opportunity has come up to join our amazing team as a Post Office and Shop Assistant on a part time basis.

Hours required -
Every Sunday 1-9 or 8-6 alternate weeks.

Additional hours can be offered on an overtime basis if required. Due to post office requirements this position is only open to over 18s. A background dbs check will also be required on behalf of the post office. Post office training will begin straight away so previous post office/retail experience desirable, however full training will be given for the right person.

You may have seen over the last few weeks that Mill Road is closing today until September for gas works.

While parts of Mill Road are going to be closed during this time, we have been assured that access to the shop is still going to be possible. At the moment, you can still get to us via the top of Mill Road, and come down to us.

The work is being done in stages, currently starting down by the hospital, and working up. As things change over the coming weeks, we will update you where possible.

Because of the impact it is going to have on us, we have taken the decision to continue our 9pm closing Sunday - Thursday. Friday and Saturday will still be 10pm.

We are working with Cadent to minimise any disruption to us and our customers. We apologise for any inconvenience to you, and thankyou for your patience.

Happy Easter! 🐣 We are open normal time tomorrow 7.30am - 9pm

We have ran out of Easter eggs but we have plenty of other chocolate instead!

Unfortunately due to a company wide issue, our card machines are currently down. So at the moment we can only accept cash. If you have a physical card (not a phone or contactless) you can withdraw money from the post office. We are unsure when it will be resolved and apologise for any inconvenience caused. We hope to have the card machines up and running again soon and will update when the issue is fixed.

After another amazing summer the time has come to go back to our winter opening hours!

From Monday 22nd September we will be open -

Monday - Thursday 7am -9pm
Friday and Saturday 7am - 10pm
Sunday 7.30am - 9pm

The National Lottery are making important upgrades this weekend. On Sunday 3rd August we will be unable to sell any lottery tickets, payout or check tickets or scratcards. We expect this to be up and running again on Monday.

You can still buy scratchcards and bring them back to pay out from Monday.
