EMRR remains to be a nationally and internationally recognised fi****ms dealer and trusted shooting sports supplier.
EMRR is not currently able to trade in licenced fi****ms, sh****ns or am******on because of an ongoing licensing dispute with Nottinghamshire Constabulary, on documentary grounds, due to an application to renew our previous licences being made in ample time but having not been completed before they expired. The renewal of the licences were delayed by Nottinghamshire Constabulary and ultimately failed to be completed contrary to the provisions in the Fi****ms Act 1968.
The actions and conduct of Nottinghamshire Constabulary and it’s representatives are currently being formally challenged through legal proceedings and EMRR categorically denies any wrongdoing.
Our position is that the decisions and failures against us were due to serious errors and inaccuracies, a lack of proper communication and of procedural unfairness by Nottinghamshire Constabulary.
Sadly, many businesses and certificate holders across the country are reporting increased issues with excessive delays to licencing processes, inconsistent and inaccurate procedures and all too often errors are being made which have significant implications on individuals and businesses without justification.
EMRR maintains that there was no justified legal basis for preventing it from continuing trading and that proper steps were not considered by Nottinghamshire Constabulary before the need to take formal legal action against them.
EMRR has sought to comply with lawful requirements and to support proper enquiries. As a business and a family, we have done nothing wrong, we are willing to assist with lawful enquiries if Nottinghamshire Constabulary will engage and we are taking legal action to correct those serious injustices and to hold Nottinghamshire Constabulary accountable.
We will continue to support our customers and the shooting community as far as possible whilst this is ongoing and we will notify customers accordingly once the relevant licences have been reinstated.
