Today, we want to shine a light on a truly amazing human, our wonderful friend, Cassie.

Many of you in the whiskey world will already know Cassie. Who is from Florida, USA, fell in love with Ireland and Ireland, quite simply, fell in love with her too.

Cassie has made an incredible impact on the Irish whiskey community, particularly through her dedication to Belfast Whiskey Week. This year’s event was a roaring success and we were delighted to welcome her to Shortcross, Rademon Estate for our Whiskey Bodega Tour.

Of course, we couldn’t let her visit without giving her a few wee jobs to do, it certainly wouldn’t be the Irish way! And, as always, she got stuck in with a smile.

Even when Belfast Whiskey Week 2026 came to an end, Cassie’s support didn’t. With the Fleadh beginning, she generously postponed her journey home to help us at St George’s Market in Belfast for the entire week.

That kindness, loyalty and willingness to help sums Cassie up perfectly. She gives so much of herself to the people and places she cares about, and we feel incredibly lucky to have her in our lives.
Some of you may already have had the pleasure of meeting her and for those who haven’t, you absolutely need to.

Cassie, from all of us at Shortcross, thank you.

Thank you for your hard work, your friendship, your generosity and for always showing up when it matters most.

We miss you already, and we can’t wait to welcome you back to Ireland. - Team Shortcross.
