Creative Rascal Books Brought To Life I’m delighted to have found a niche craft to share with the growing trend of re-inventing treasured items.

My work background has always been in the creative industry, from retail display to interiors stylist, which has naturally filtered through into my interests. I have often thought how sad it is that beautifully illustrated books are left closed and rarely viewed on a bookshelf. So with this I have found a unique way to transform them into a visual feast, bringing classic books to life with a crea

tive twist, freeing the illustrations from the pages by folding and intricately hand cutting the pictures to tell the story in a unique 3rd dimension. A pop-up book with a difference!

Celebrating ‘World Book Day’ today with the book that started it all !
I found this on a charity book shelf they have at the Railway stations while waiting for my train .
I thumbed through it and thought how sad that these beautiful illustrations are shut away between the covers waiting to be seen but could potentially be sitting on book shelves for years every where and never viewed!
I literally wanted to set the Butterflies and insects free 🦋🐝🐞🪰!
Now I find other classic gems and do the same for them .

I’m often asked how I package my books and it did take a while to figure it out ! This way keeps the book really secure and doesn’t squash the images.
I change the background colour inside and decor on the outside according to the book .
I had a vintage photograph album and used a sheet as a background to the Bird book .
I love getting creative with the boxes, presentation is so important!
