Well, what a fantastic Monday it has been for me!
Creative Writing Workshop this morning with some wonderful people.
As expected, laughing, sharing and loads of creativity and shenanigans in our lovely venue that is 41 Market Place in Cockermouth Town.

I just love how the group are bringing more innovation for writing each week.
Today we were given a fabulous resource to work with. Dice. Six of them. All with prompts.
All different and all definitely stretched the ol' grey matter.

Then this afternoon I was busy in the garden.
It's looking lovely and colourful and being enjoyed by everyone who passes by.
A wonderful talking point and I am learning from others too so that's good too.

And finally, I went to my very first Pilates class.
It was amazing.
I am aching after using muscles I didn't know I had but honestly, I am hooked!

Huge thanks to Lakeland Pilates for a fabulous, welcoming introduction to my new hobby.

So, it's feet up now and a bite to eat before I head off to dream of a fabulous day with the best people.

How does it get any better than this?

Well, I will let you know when it does!

What a fabulous morning with my Creative Writing Workshop group today.

It's always a good workshop but today was one of those days where the laughing flowed so easily and freely and everyone had a great time getting to grips with creative challenges.

The writing was absolutely amazing!

The feedback for each piece from the group was heartwarming and so authentic...

The cuppa definitely hit the spot and our newest workshop writer is coming back for more next week as he enjoyed the shenanigans so much!

And to top it off, I was given a beautiful bunch of healthy homegrown sweet peas just because.

The kindness, generosity, teamwork and support from everyone adds a certain something special to this little bit of loveliness held every Monday in the fabulous restaurant that is 41 Market Place in Cockermouth Town

And so, if you fancy a couple of hours where you can focus on creating some proper good prose, have fun and plenty of laughs whilst learning from others and discover your inner pen pusher, then why not come along and give it a go.

A fantastic morning was had by those who came along to the Writing Workshop today.

Poetry, stories. based around the biggest football tournament that brought much laughter, a bespoke poem proudly shared by a new member of the group and some wonderful feedback too!

It's certainly a great place to be and an even better place to try something different with support and friendship.

Oh, and the venue is just amazing too!
41 Market Place in Cockermouth Town thank you for your refreshments, generosity and support. We wouldn't be able to do what we do without you!

So, I hope you enjoy the feedback from today's group.

It's fantastic to know how much you all enjoy it.

And suddenly, the Creative Writing Workshop with The Cumbrian Wordsmith is being held every Monday.

Come and join me for two hours of wonderful word related, relaxing, fun and tea fuelled time that's just amazing!

A fabulous venue and a friendly group of like minded people.

No experience needed.

What a fantastic start to the weekend!
Blue sky, warmth, a walk along the beach at Allonby.

So much space, so tranquil and quiet. A lovely refreshing breeze that was certainly not too kind with the hair but was so welcome.

The tide was as far out as possible and the beautiful view of Scotland in the distance was absolutely stunning. It was so far out, I couldn't hear the swish of waves as they ebbed and flowed.

It felt as though time stood still and there was a complete silence for what seemed like ages.

It was an amazing experience! Definitely a magical, not something that happens often thing that was so calming and totally peaceful

The call of a lone seagull broke the spell and reality returned.

And so, I wonder what tomorrow will bring?

Can't wait to find out.

When you meet up with two of the most amazing people who have wonderful indie businesses, Cauldrons Smelt and Tiller's Tarot, eat beautiful food at Eternal at Headford Court and enjoy the beauty that Mother Nature shares and it's right on your doorstep, you just know that today has been a bit brilliant.

Deb and Jo, let's be ladies what lunch again and very soon will be excellent.

It's Friday already.
We have sunshine at last and it's definitely getting warmer now we are half way through April.

Anyway, the writing workshops are going well and there's a choice of two sessions.

Morning 10 until 12
Evening 6.30 until 8.30.

The next one runs on April 27th and if you want to come along and get creative in a small supportive, friendly group in the most amazing venue that is 41 Market Place in Cockermouth Town, just get in touch.

When you get an opportunity for a girlie lunch, good conversation and cake, it would be rude not to accept it.

And so, a few hours of chilling out with Jo Tiller, a walk with the beautiful freshly groomed Yum yum by Laura from Shampoochies and an impromptu photo of a decorated postbox, all is good in my life!

Fab food, excellent company, and grateful for the warmth and sunshine that has graced our lovely Cockermouth Town today.
