20 years in the making.
Heather has been involved with Sands for 20 years. After her beloved Xander was stillborn she decided to get involved supporting other grieving families.
She asked me to make a bear using the clothing items she'd accumulated over this time.
She included a bandana her dog Jax had earned fundraising, who passed away last year.
I wanted to make sure it was recognisable as his bandana so I turned it into a headscarf.

Last week I shared this bamboo toweling shower puff.
Lots of you thought it was a good idea but I needed to test it.
Full disclosure it's had mixed reviews in the house.
Youngest son = didn't like it because of the texture due to the overlocked edges. However he is autistic so textures are a big thing for him.
Husband = doesn't lather, don't sell it.
Me = didn't lather like a traditional plastic puff but did have some lather. I will definitely use it again.

So here's the dilemma do I look for testers or not?
The point of the product is to take another plastic item out of the system.
Would a smaller lather be a deal breaker for you?

Introducing brother bear.
Cecilia had three items (a yellow waistcoat and two babygrows) from her three boys who are now in their 20's.
I was able to get a small bear from the items and added Bawler Boys on the foot.

The last Friday of August. Almost time for the youngest to back to college.
We've finally gad some rain here in Cwmbran 🎊 although its still quite hot.
Thus is my current view as I finish off 45 wetbags.

I've been doing some temping this week at a local 6th college enrolling the new and returning students.
Thus is the life of a small business sometimes you've got to take on a little back up the sew when I get home.
This evening I've been making some pads and now its time to put the walking foot on and get some underboob sweat busters made. I've been asked if i can adapt the design so it can be used for the tummy where there's a bit that spills over. Some people call it an apron belly. So first what to you call it and would you use one?

The first photo is of pads I made in 2018, the one with the heart round it I made for myself. I'm still using it now 8 years later. Its a little faded and its starting to fray a little bit on some of the edges but works just as well. Just think how many disposable pads were never used because of just this one reusable pad.
