BADZGAMING 2.0! COMING SOON 👀

What are we doing tonight?
The same thing we do every night… try to take over the world!

Maybe not the world yet, but Shop 2 is coming!

Since we’ve had the physical shop business has grown quicker than we ever expected and thanks to all of you, we’ve reached the point where Cwmbran simply can’t hold everything anymore. Most will agree it probably never could 😂

So we’re expanding.
More stock. More trade-ins. More room. A brand new location.

Chepstow, we’re coming.

We’re incredibly grateful for how far things have come, but we’re not slowing down. We’ll keep working, keep improving, and keep pushing Badzgaming forward.

We’re also recruiting for the new store. If you’re genuinely interested in please email us at [email protected]

Serious enquiries only. You will need to have good experience in dealing with the TCG world and retail.

One shop down.
Shop 2 incoming.

A little update on our future at Cwmbran Shopping Centre 👀

We’ve now been based in the centre for nearly a year, and since opening we’ve been incredibly busy. The business is performing really well, we’re always seeing plenty of customers and we’re proud to have built such a great community here.

We genuinely wanted to stay and continue growing in Cwmbran. However, our current lease expires in Q1 next year and, after trying on several occasions to discuss our situation with centre management, we unfortunately feel we have exhausted our efforts to find a way forward.

The situation we now find ourselves in is very different from when we originally took the lease. The shop is currently increasingly covered by scaffolding, which has changed the visibility and flow of footfall around the unit. These works were not mentioned to us when we originally agreed to take the premises, and we understand they could continue for a significant period.

We pay a premium to be located inside the shopping centre, and while business is still doing very well, we have to look at what makes the most sense for the future. We could potentially find a larger unit outside the centre for better value, with more space and flexibility.

Because of this, extending our lease beyond its current expiry is currently looking increasingly unlikely.

It’s a real shame, as we genuinely enjoy being part of Cwmbran and wanted to stay. We love the community we’ve built here and would hate to see another empty shop in the town.

Nothing is happening immediately, we’re still here and still trading as normal, and our current lease doesn’t expire until Q1 next year. But we wanted to be open with everyone about where things currently stand.

Currently looking at options alongside potentially having 2 shops, maybe even 3. Keep your eyes peeled!
