Today we have another new master suite with PATENT-protected keys ready to go out the door and be installed in a school!

Each cylinder has its own individual key, with a master key that will operate all cylinders within this master suite.

To make installation easier and more convenient for the contractors on site, every cylinder has been clearly labelled with the relevant door number.

All of the cylinders and turns are anti-barricade. This means rooms can be locked quickly from the inside using the thumbturn, while still allowing authorised access from the outside with a key—even if someone is holding the internal thumbturn.

In a school environment, this helps prevent situations where someone may try to hold the thumbturn and barricade themselves inside a room, as staff can still override the turn and gain entry when needed.

The thumbturn and anti-barricade function also aid in compliance with Martyn's Law.

New master suite ready to go out the door!

This restricted, patented key profile helps make unauthorised key copying far more difficult, with legal protections in place for added security.

To make installation easier on site, we have labelled each cylinder with the relevant key and door number, helping ensure every cylinder is fitted to the correct door.

These cylinders also feature an anti-barricade function.

This means the door can be locked from the inside using the thumbturn, but if somebody attempts to hold the turn to barricade the door, the key will still override and unlock it from the outside.

Anti-barricade cylinders can also support premises looking to strengthen their security arrangements in line with the guidelines set out in Martyn’s Law (Now The Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025)
