CREE IT'S ALL ABOUT THE COLOUR and these are 4 of the best CLASSIC CREE Saddles we have had in 2026!!!!!!!!!!!

Just like any colour range you have pale Cree and Dark Cree and everything in between and these 4 Whiting BRONZE GRADE MIDGE SADDLES are fine example of CREE the way it should be White/Ginger and Black with each bar being strong in colour!!! All 4 are tying Approx. 14/16/18 (Nige Sizing which is shank to point) so on a Whiting Hackle Gauge a nige 14 is an 18 (It's never an 18 and would swamp any size 18 hook🤣🤣)

As we said Yesterday Bronze Grade Delivers a Bigger Saddle, a greater density of Hackle and Longer Hackles compared to a Pro-Grade so the more hackle you have the greater the number of flies you will tie so probably 2 lifetimes!!!

Let's Start the Morning with 4 Stunning Whiting Bronze Grade Dry Fly Rooster Saddles in the Right Colours Copper Olive is Stunning, Golden Olive So Popular and Just look at the 2 Unique Variants with Saddle A Being a total riot of COLOUR!!!!!!!

Ok so it goes like this we can only buy what's available and the Pro-Grade range of available colours was very low, so we went for Bronze Grade to bring in a BIGGER Range of Colours. The way Whiting Farms Grade saddles Bronze Grade are always going to be larger, more densely hackled with longer hackles that's why they made BRONZE GRADE and NOT Pro because they are delivering more hackle and in turn more flies😂

Lakeland stick to what we keep saying Pro and Bronze Grade are by far the best grades for tying, Silver, Gold and Platinum are for vanity o bragging rights they will not make you a better tier or produce better flies, you would be much better off buying 3 colours of Pro-Grade than one Gold Grade because cash can't influence the quality of fly you tie🤣🤣😁

We have taken a look at the Commercial grade saddles, ok it's got the lowest price point but what we receive is so inconsistent, too many broken hackles and low density of hackle but that's why it went into commercial grade!!!! It missed the medals and crawled over the finish line, just. Spend the extra £10 and be happy with your purchase and Pro-Grade Saddle!!!!

OK so Those Whiting Hebert Miner Hen Capes in Brown Gray Dun tempted nige to tie 3 different Spider Type patterns up, that's 3 flies, one hackle with enough left to tie another 3-4 flies and this is by an old guy that hasn't tied a fly for at least 5 years and spider type patterns for a lot longer so with practice how many flies can you tie from a quality cape like the Hebert Miner's shown this morning if you say 6 flies per hackle!! Quality capes deliver quality hackles that easily match wet fly hooks in the 10-12-14-16 size range so your flies are in proportion, if your happy with your creation you will fish with confidence!!! Another thing is the density of hackle per cape and that super fine but strong quill that make them so easy to use, in other words quality capes are a pleasure to use and the cost per fly is very Low!!!!

WET & Windy in Cumbria this morning, we still NEED IT😂😂

But there is always a BUT with £6000 of Whiting Stock to photograph I could do with a few days of Dry Calm Weather to Photograph the Heritage Hackle, Whiting B***e Saddles and Lots of Pro-Grade Midge Saddle and we have some crackers to show off!!!! On top of that we have 4 VERY Nice Whiting Bronze Grade Midge CREE SADDLES that are very strong on COLOUR!!!!!!!

Todays Featured Product is the Whiting Hebert Miner Hen Cape in BROWN GRAY DUN and a firm favourite with nige for tying North Country Style Spiders because it can be used to mimic Outer or Under covert hackles of waterfowl and game birds🤔

Crazy day yesterday getting the hen capes loaded to support the newsletter today, the plan did come together but it took some work🤣😁

So many Whiting & Hebert Miner Hen Capes loaded and photographed yesterday. We came across four crackers that are all about colour and hackle marking and NOT surprisingly they came from the Grizzly Variants and Unique Variant colour ranges!!!!!!!

It had to be done because they are on the newsletter tomorrow!! With the stock being delayed and heavy showers it puts the pressure on a one-man band so you just have to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in!!!!🤣🤣😁

WOW Stock so GOOD Customs didn’t want to let it go on Friday🤣🤣so we have a little delay in the £6000 of Whiting Stock arriving🙄the best laid plans never work out, delivery on Friday they said but we expected Monday with the weekend for our BOX to arrive at Carlisle for delivery but NO it’s still in Castle Donington waiting to be rescheduled🤔

GOOD NEWS for Monday Morning is, it’s raining and rained most of the night so it’s going to do a lot of GOOD and give the rivers some much needed water and freshen up those Stillwaters!!!

THE First stock to go live will be the Whiting and Whiting Hebert Miner Hen Capes in all colours including the Dyed and Natural Blacks, you know you need to stock up before they go!!! With more rain forecast over the week with cooler temperatures the fishing should explode back into life😁
