The Full Octave

Directions Website Contact the business

The Full Octave The Full Octave shop closed in August 2024, however, John is still seen regularly tuning pianos. Contact him on 01229 584311. Nothing is ruled out e.g.

It is hoped that this page will not only promote "The Full Octave", but also be a hub for musicians and those who appreciate all forms of music. Advertising events (concerts, gigs, dances, open mic. etc)
Advertising yourselves, (teachers looking for students ,bands looking for players, students looking for teachers, etc). Hopefully we may also get some interesting discussions going.

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of John Metcalfe on the 22nd January in FGH.
Known as the "piano man" John's passion was the shop and music in general, whether that was playing in the ceilidh band or Morris dancing.

Liz, Amy and Emily would love anyone who knew John to join us in celebrating his life at Thorncliffe Crematorium
Monday 9th February 11am, and afterwards at the General Burgoyne Urswick.

As The Full Octave shop is no longer open, please contact John Metcalfe for tunings on 01229 584311. Thank you

And here we are, 26 years later after our opening day, we closed the shop for the final time.

It has been a fantastic journey, many customers have become friends. Thank you for your loyalty and support over the many years! John, Liz, Amy and Richard.

Don't forget we are still selling pianos on appointment and tunings continue as usual.
