Last night in Leeds, Troy stepped into the ring once again with Callum Simpson, putting the British & Commonwealth Super-Middleweight titles on the line in a huge rematch. After 12 hard-fought rounds, Simpson took the victory by unanimous decision, with scorecards of 116–112, 117–112 and 115–113.
But a result doesn’t define a warrior. Troy showed the toughness, heart and determination that have made people across the North East proud throughout his career. He rallied during the fight, kept throwing dangerous shots and battled right through to the final bell.
From Darlington to the big stage, you continue to represent our region with pride. Win, lose or draw, we back our own.
