🚀🏆 WE'VE ONLY GONE AND DONE IT AGAIN! 🏆🚀

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We're absolutely buzzing to announce that First for Flowers has officially won the Interflora Artisan Award 2026! That's right, we're back-to-back winners, adding this absolute beauty right next to our 2025 award!

The team at Interflora has officially recognised our crew with an "Exceptional Artisan Award" for the creativity, craftsmanship, and passion we bring to every single order. Because these awards are based strictly on quality and customer satisfaction, we are incredibly proud to share that we achieved a near-perfect 0.05% complaint score across thousands of orders! This officially ranks us as an "Exceptional Performer" and puts us right at the very top of the 5-star tier across the United Kingdom and Ireland!

Keep your eyes peeled for our shiny new 5-star 2026 Artisan window vinyl going up in the shop very soon! A massive thank you to all our amazing customers for trusting us with your biggest moments, and a huge shoutout to our award-winning legends on the workbench for keeping those standards sky-high. We couldn't do it without you!

You might know us as First for Flowers, but today we’re bursting with pride to celebrate a MASSIVE milestone for the other half of our family... our 'Big Sis', The Floral Box! 🌸🎉

This year, The Floral Box is celebrating an incredible 40 YEARS of providing floral magic to Darlington!

For those who don't know the story of how our two brands came together, here is a little trip down memory lane... 🕰️👇

The Floral Box was established way back in June 1986 on North Road. In 1988, a local schoolgirl named Noreen joined for work experience. She fell in love with floristry, completed her YTS apprenticeship, and eventually bought the business in 1992 alongside her sister, Diane! 👯‍♀️

Many of you will fondly remember them operating out of the famous converted cow byre at their family farm on Burtree Lane! 🐄💐

In 2015, wanting to spend more time with their growing families, the sisters decided to sell. That’s when we (First for Flowers) stepped in. We knew The Floral Box had nearly 30 years of incredible history and goodwill in Darlington, so rather than swallow it up into our own brand, we made the deliberate decision to keep the two separate. We relocated The Floral Box to our Cockerton shop, and both brands have been happily operating under one roof ever since! 🏡

But here is the best part... the floral world is hard to leave behind! Noreen and Diane missed the creativity and the community so much that they eventually returned to help out. Today, we are thrilled to say the dynamic duo is officially back with us permanently - doing what they love, without the stress of running the business! 🙌

To celebrate 40 amazing years, we’ve recreated some of that original magic with a special commemorative arrangement: The 40th Anniversary Burtree Bouquet. 🎀✨

Swipe through the photos to see our amazing team today (spot the special anniversary uniforms!), alongside some brilliant throwback snaps of the old Burtree Lane shop and the classic Floral Box van! 📸🚐

Thank you to generation after generation of Darlington residents for your incredible loyalty. Here’s to the next chapter! 🥂
