With just a couple of weeks left of the summer holidays, our team has been hard at work at St Saviour’s School in Paddington, giving the hallway and loos a well-earned refresh.

We stripped back and prepared the existing surface before laying a durable, easy-clean Polyflor XL, chosen to withstand the daily footfall of busy corridors while keeping things looking sharp.

Working around the school holidays meant zero disruption to term time, and the space is ready and waiting for pupils to return in September.

Another job done, another space transformed. 💚

Being trusted to return again and again says a lot, and we’re always glad when Fortnum & Mason calls on us.

In this video, we’re laying new vinyl in their upgraded pastry preparation area, having previously completed the flooring in their security offices, as well as other areas.

This formed phase one of a major upgrade to the back of house area on the fourth floor, and we worked alongside other contractors to get it over the line on time.

In this new food prep area we laid Altro vinyl built to handle the demands of one of the world’s most iconic department stores - a shop famed the world over for its food and fine dining.

Every job calls for its own kind of care, and one such project took us to Exit Here, a funeral directors on the Kings Road, where our client trusted us to undertake the work.

With the old flooring removed, the surface properly prepped, and a new Suprema vinyl floor laid swiftly and smoothly, we completed the job successfully and all within a tight timeframe.

Not everyone gets to see behind the scenes at Fortnum & Mason, but we’re taking you with us, this time, into the security offices.

The brief: rip up the old carpet tiles and vinyl, self level the subfloor, then lay Suprema vinyl with welded seams and a clean, clear silicone edge finish throughout.

A part of the building most people will never see, finished to the same standard as everywhere else.

Before you rip it out and start again, look what a proper sand and seal can do.

This is exactly why we always say: don’t replace it, restore it. It was a privilege to be trusted with the carpet fitting at the Dior concession in Selfridges, one of the most prestigious retail locations in London, where every detail matters and nothing is left to chance.

Working within a space of this calibre meant every cut and every seam had to be finished to a standard worthy of the brand standing above it, because in a setting like this, the floor is every bit as much a part of the show as the catwalk.

Today we’re taking a look back at one of our favourite projects where we were asked by the world famous to upgrade the world’s first body sonic dance floor.

As soon as we heard what this incredible job involved, we jumped at the chance to be part of such an exciting and innovative project which takes sound and vibration to a whole new level.

In just over a week we removed the existing floor, removed it from site and uncovered the three pits which were holding the movers. We passed these onto the Technical Team at Fabric to renew, meaning that the new floor would vibrate in time to the music, with the added advantage of creating a more inclusive experience for individuals with hearing impairments.

We firstly applied a coat of PR298 PM and then brought levels up with Sasgo FL305 renovation levelling compound. To complete the job we supplied and laid 18mm solid Merbau flooring (using MA 100 adhesive) and applied 3 coats of .uk traffic to cover 114m2 in total.

It’s fantastic to see so many people enjoying the multi-sensory experience and we love hearing the lovely comments still coming in a year on 💃🕺

When Wyborne Primary School needed their canteen hall brought back to life, they had just one window to make it happen: the half-term break.

With 200m² of tired, worn flooring, a tight deadline and a dining space that needed to be ready the moment the children walked back through the door, there was no room for anything other than a perfectly executed plan.

Our team moved in straight away, stripping everything back before prepping the subfloor and laying Walkway slip-resistant sheet vinyl throughout the entire space. Every joint was hot-welded for hygiene and water resistance, heavy-duty edgings were finished to last, and the whole surface was engineered to handle decades of daily school footfall without missing a beat.

By the time the school returned from half-term, the dining hall felt completely transformed, bright, fresh and ready for whatever a few hundred hungry children could throw at it.
