FREE TO JOIN AND NO ID NEEDED! DVDs 1 week loan £1.10, £2.75 or £4 depending on title (most children's films are £1). Audio books in CD or preloaded MP3 players for 3 week loan £2 or free for disabled borrowers. Dartmouth Caring in partnership with Dartmouth library run a book group for visually impaired people: VIP Club. Each month we discuss a title we listened to in a friendly atmosphere of the Community Café over a cup of tea and cake. New members welcome. When: the first Thursday of the month, 2-4pm

Last weekend Dartmouth celebrated The Thomas Newcomen Steam Festival. It was great to be in partnership with The Festival and have a storyteller Veronica Conboy at the library as part of the celebrations. The children were really engaged listening to the story based around steam.
The storytelling followed our craft session where we made cars and created a map of town. There was lovely team work with children working together on this project using their imagination and creativity.
The children are really keen on the transport theme running through this year SBQ.

From Saturday 11th July, here at Dartmouth Library children can sign up for The Summer Book Quest: Mission to Wayfarer Island. Read books, collect stickers, and complete activities throughout the summer holidays.

It's a great way for kids to build reading confidence and find real pleasure in books over the summer. Children can sign up at Dartmouth Library from 11th July.

There’s high demand for our 10 most wanted titles, and many eager customers are waiting to borrow them. We’ve purchased as many copies as our budget allows, but if you’re able to help, we’d be truly grateful.

If you have a pristine copy, you’ve finished reading - whether it’s one you bought yourself or received as a gift - you can donate it at any library in Devon or Torbay. We’ll add it to our collection to help reduce the waiting list.
