Last week, I found out that one of my ranges has been shortlisted for two awards in the Henries (Oscar’s of the greeting card world). We’re up for Best Cute Range again 🥹 and Best Traditional Words and Sentiments too (this one means loads as it’s an area I’ve really leant into the last year).
✨The fact that it's this range is extra special this year - below I share a note on the creative process, one I had written in my phone from August 2025, but have never shared as it always felt just a little too vulnerable. But today I'm changing that so here goes:
“The range titled ‘Head in the Clouds’ has been brewing for a while and had been sat as an empty Dropbox folder for over a year. Random inspiration started to bubble a few months ago, but then clarity came to me when I was least expecting it - just before we lost our sweet little auntie in the summer.
💌And it became super clear it was to be one about grief, loss, and support. As ever, it became a way for me to process. Creating has always been my answer, sometimes without even realising it, looking back on a finished range after like ohhhhhh wow, and other times it has been the sole purpose. Art is so powerful for that.
The range is simple but powerful, and for souls that are anything like me, who need simple and understated when already feeling allllll the feels”.
