Last weekend saw us at Braunston Historic Working Boat Event, we have spent the last 10 years trying to take part as a trader but it has always been set at a price that was too expensive for us. A conversation with the organisers earlier this year suggested a re think on how stall holders would be charged. As someone with a suspicious mind I usually wait until the event has taken place before I pass any judgements or comments.
It proved to be a really good event for us, and as expected we met up with many of our boating friends meaning the banter over the weekend has been great. The crowds were a bit less than expected, many things including the temperatures on Saturday affected this. We did however have 2 good days trading, made many new friends, discussed future possible commissions, and were completely shattered by Sunday night.
Many thanks to Graham Newman and all his team at Braunston Marina and all the other individuals that made it such a great weekend.
Hopefully we can be there again in 2020
