Tracs UK will be closing its doors for the last time today (26/08/2025) after twenty years of trading at Delamere Forest. During this period, we have endured some of the worst economic shocks faced by this country from the 2008 Financial Crisis, austerity, Brexit, Covid, to the energy price hike. When I chose to retender for our position as the bike hire provider at Delamere Forest in November 2019 the world was a very different place and our projections were based on that world, within 2 weeks of finding out we’d won the new tender the country was placed into lockdown, an inauspicious start to what has been an especially difficult five years for the bike trade and why by mutual consent with Forestry England the five year exit clause on our lease has been exercised bringing to a close this chapter of my life. I would like to take the opportunity to thank my staff both past and present for all of the hard work they put into making Tracs the well-regarded and popular business it has been, to all of our customers I thank you for your patronage and to all those who have become friends along the way I thank you for your help and support throughout the years.
