W.I. Stall at the Garden Village Fete on June27th.
Lesley Parkinson, Secretary of The League of Extraordinary Women W.I., Garden Village, sent in a Photograph of the group's stall at the Fete and some of the W.I. members who attended to the stall.
They had a lovely day, they had adult and children's Tombola; lucky dip; lollipops; 'Wine or Water' and members hand made crafts.
Congratulations ladies, you all worked very hard!

The WI Magazine is on the hunt for very sporty and active WIs to feature in an upcoming issue.

Perhaps you play team sports, hold weekly rambling expeditions, play Padel or walking rugby... or maybe you are wellbeing-focused and do yoga and tai chi in a local beauty spot? Is your WI full of Parkrunners or do you have a dance subgroup?

If you like to move and have organised exercise, walking, or sport as a regular part of your WI timetable, please get in touch ASAP: [email protected], writing 'Get a move on!' in the subject line.

(It may involve an interview and group photoshoot. Oh, and PS: age and fitness levels are irrelevant; all that counts is your WI's enjoyment of movement!)

We had a great time yesterday in good company, making bread at 'Use your Loaf' community bakery in Rhyl, where Steve the baker gave us some good tips for the perfect Loaf. Photographs of the bread before baking and afterwards by Deryl Jones, President of Eglwysbach W.I. It certainly brightened up a rainy day in Rhyl, we were all keen to return for further courses.

Llay WI recently held a successful Open Evening, welcoming members from seven local WI groups together with guests from the wider community.

The evening’s entertainment was provided by the Welsh Healthcare Choir, who delighted the audience with a varied and enjoyable programme of songs. Under the direction of conductor Aled, the choir delivered a memorable performance that was warmly received by everyone present.

Guests also enjoyed a selection of homemade cakes supplied by a local business, accompanied by tea and coffee, providing an opportunity for members, visitors and the choir to socialise.

Llay WI would like to thank everyone who attended and helped make the evening such a success.

Thanks to President Rosy Turner for the account and photographs.
