Read all about our Melbourne born and bred Cheryl…

Meet Cheryl, Our Chair of the Board of Trustees.

Cheryl worked for Treetops Hospice for 20 years, retiring in 2021. During her time at Treetops, she was a member of the Senior Leadership Team, initially managed the volunteer programme and latterly was Head of Facilities. After she retired, she was invited to be a Trustee both for her skills and for her ‘organisational memory.’

Some of her skills and experience include safeguarding, ensuring our IT systems are secure, designing and delivering training, managing staff and departmental budgets, chairing meetings and strategic planning.

Cheryl was elected Chair of the Board in November 2024. Treetops’ values are very important to her, and she enjoys being able to uphold and represent these values in her volunteer role.

In her personal life, Cheryl enjoys holidays with her wife, Jackie, spending time with her two daughters and their partners, socialising with friends, eating out, going to see musical theatre and cooking.
