🎣 KARL DOUGLAS BACK ON THE SYNDICATE — AND ONE HE REALLY WANTED IN THE ALBUM! 💪🏼

Nice to get a couple more bites this weekend down on the syndicate at Langholme. To be honest, I didn't think it was going to happen with most of the fish down one end of the lake and what looked like the rest tucked away in a big bay.

Like buses though… you wait ages and then two bites come along in quick succession! 😆

Both fish fell to Karl’s favourite size 5 J Precision Advanced Widegapes, fishing the Multi Combi style over the Sticky Baits.

One of them had me properly sweating, w**ding me up solid for around 10 minutes before eventually coming free. Never doubted the hookhold though — that fish wasn't coming off! 😆💪🏼

But the one Karl really wanted for the album was this big-framed, stunning scaley 40-pounder, backed up with a cracking 32lb mirror. 🔥

Two more quality syndicate fish and another couple of solid results for the Advanced Widegapes.

Ben enjoyed a cracking trip to Lucky Lakes in France, banking an impressive 21 carp, including 2 over 40lb and a great mix of fish between 30–40lb! 🎣🔥

The fish were caught on a combination of size 3 Advanced LGs and size 2 Advanced Widegapes, tied on Ronnie rigs with J Precision Kickers.

4 bites this weekend, 3 landed, with this one being the best of the bunch! 😎 Along with a couple of stockies from one of the syndicate lakes I fish, it’s been another productive session.

Following on from last week’s success, I’ve kept things simple — hard-bottom baits presented on looped combi rigs, using size 4 JP Advanced Widegapes and JP terminal tackle.

Everything fished firmly on the deck, over a spread of glugged freebies, chops and crumb — and once again, it’s getting the bites! 🎣🎣

Sometimes there’s no need to change what’s working! 👊🏼

What a weekend on the Lincs pit for JP's own Chris Po***ck!

6 takes, 4 landed and some nice ones to show for it 💪

Late arrival Saturday actually worked in his favour - managed to get in the shallows swim with a South Easterly pushing and the lake doing bites.

First bite at 9pm unfortunately lost in the heavy w**d - his first lost fish on the lake. New rig tied, recast in the dark at 26 wraps to a clear spot right up to the out of bounds rope... first cast, on the money.

First light check showed he was just a bit too far right - rod repositioned to exactly where he wanted it. Had to wait till 2pm for the reward, proving near enough ain't good enough!

He walked back up the swim to higher ground, kept the pressure on through the w**d and the result...

38lb 8oz with a very distinctive split tail 😍 - The best of the bunch!

And he wasn't done:

▪️ 32lb 8oz at 4:30pm - Same rod, same spot
▪️ Lost one early evening to a failed Albright knot - gutted
▪️ 23lb 8oz stockie at 4am in hammering rain
▪️ 32lb dead on at 6:30am Sunday after the spot started slicking

All caught on Size 4 Advanced Chod Hook fished multi combi style as a pop-up.

Interestingly the other 3 were on the exact same rig but fished as a snowman bottom bait - just as deadly!

All on JH Baits KLF with lake pellets.

MULTI-BAIT SWIVELS 👀🔥

Well, these have definitely surprised me!

Not just how well they’ve sold, but the sheer amount that have gone out the door! 😳

A hell of a lot have gone into the catfish scene, making it super easy to mount stacks of pellets, but they’ve also been flying out to carp anglers for all sorts of rig presentations.

Obviously, the ever-popular Snowman setup is one of the obvious choices, but there’s loads of different ways you can use them. 🎣

I’m actually just making myself a few up now to get them glugged and ready for a trip next month 👀

Simple little bit of terminal tackle, but they really do make bait presentation so much easier! 💪🏼

Fishing has been non-existent for me over the past 12 months, but a planned trip to France was always on. 🇫🇷

Struggled like anything all week, as the fish were clearly at the other end of the lake... but as cringe as it sounds 😅 Big Fish Friday came up trumps! 🍻
