We would just like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has sent kind messages, shared memories and expressed their sadness following the loss of Sask.

We have been overwhelmed by the all of lovely comments and messages we have received. It has meant so much to Sara, and to all of us here at the garden centre and The Potting Shed, to know just how fondly Sask was thought of by so many people.

Thank you all for your kindness, your memories and your support. ❤️🐾

Sask will be very much missed, but certainly never forgotten.

It is with great sadness that we share the news that, following a short illness, Sara’s much-loved dog Sask — The Garden Centre Dog — has sadly passed away.

We are all devastated by the news. Sask was a much-loved part of life here at the Garden Centre and will be very sadly missed by us all. ❤️

Rhodohypoxis — delightful little alpine jewels 🌸

These charming, low-growing beauties are just covered in starry blooms, with shades ranging from soft blush and creamy white to the prettiest candy pink. Tucked above neat, grassy foliage, they bring such a cheerful sparkle to pots, troughs, rockeries and sunny edges.

They’re happiest in a bright spot with moist but well-drained, humus-rich soil, and they really do look wonderful planted together where their dainty flowers can create a soft carpet of colour from late spring into summer. A lovely choice for adding gentle detail to smaller spaces, patios and alpine displays.

Which would you choose — the bold pink or the soft pink-and-white? 🌿

🌸 Amazing Nemesias 🌸

These little beauties are absolutely bursting with colour — soft whites, pretty pinks, rich purples, warm reds and those cheerful golden centres. They’re the kind of plant that instantly makes a pot, basket or border feel brighter.

Nemesia are perfect for adding a splash of colour near the front door, on the patio, or anywhere that needs a little lift. And let’s be honest, on a grey day they do a very good job of showing off!

Pop in and have a look while they’re looking this good.
