My mosaics were very popular with children yesterday... the colours and sparkles caught their attention as well as a love of animals. ✨️
One girl in particular was so taken with this pair that she had to be carried away from them! I absolutely love how she was captivated by them, and how she saw what I hadn't... a fennec fox! Others stopped and said they loved the sphynx cats, but she saw a different animal.

My art is abstract and some animals are more recognisable than others! But this has given me loads of reflection about how beautifully and differently we see things. It resonates with the story of why and how I create ... those pieces coming together to create something new ... how we are seen, how we want to be seen, how we are different things to different people.

Thank you, lovely girl, for opening my eyes even more and for introducing a fennec fox to my collection!

Like my mosaics, I am sparkling with joy to be part of the Home, Health and Hope Exhibition at the Royal Derby Hospital! ✨️

It's special, not only because it's my first exhibition, but this is where I had the MRI and was diagnosed a brain tumour. RDH have provided me with excellent care and rehabilitation through OT, vestibular physiotherapy and pain management.

Seeing the name brainstrust on the board is extra special too. The charity has helped me so much, and continues to do so. I am truly grateful for the support they provide 🙏 ❤️

Thank you Air Arts Derby Burton Hospitals Charity UHDB for hosting such a beautiful and meaningful collection.

If you work at the hospital, are a patient or a visitor, I hope you enjoy seeing all the artworks across the hospital. I always find them a welcome distraction and a moment of joy when I'm there for an appointment.

Who can resist this lovely coo?! 🧡

I recently had a request for a highland cow and loved making it so much I made another! I've tried to show how much the colour of the sky changes in different light and angles, but you really have to see it yourself to believe it! 💙
