We had a Shimano 6800 right hand crank last week that was in 3 pieces. Normally people stop riding when the cranks start to go. This customer was doing a sponsored cycle and kept riding. We were very impressed.

The Ultegra 6800 model of crank along with Dura Ace 9000 can be brought into us for inspection and replacement if necessary. R8000 Ultegra and R9000 Dura Ace made before July 2019 should also be inspected.

Perhaps one of the last custom builds at our Pennyburn location before everything moved to Campsie. Colnago C64 with Campagnolo Super Record EPS 12 speed, Bora WTO wheels and Stages power meter. The frames behind will be built up shortly too.

After lengthy consideration we have decided to close the Total Cycling retail shop at Pennyburn. The business at Campsie will remain open.
While we transition, Pennyburn will be open throughout April on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2-6pm to facilitate collection of repairs. Delivery can also be arranged.
All gift vouchers can still be redeemed at Campsie.
In the interim period we can only provide maintenance to bikes, wheels and components we have supplied.

Enigma Escape Titanium 4-Season Endurance bike built up with Campagnolo's new Ekar 1x13 disc brake groupset and Campagnolo Shamal carbon wheels. The bike is shown with 28mm GP5000 tyres but there is ample clearance for 35mm tyres for gravel riding. There is also clearance for up to 32mm tyres with mudguards. Weight was 8.2 kg as shown with only pedals to add. More Enigma custom builds will be coming soon.

A former UAE pro team TT bike. It’s a Colnago K-Zero with Campagnolo Super record EPS. The front wheel is a Bora Ultra 80 and the rear is a Bora Ultra Disc. Just needs some tubular now.

A Genesis Croix De Fer Titanium custom build - set up for winter use with full length Flinger mudguards. The Croix De Fer Titanium is an extremely versatile frame. It has room for 45mm tyres on the rear and 50mm tyres on the front for gravel and adventure riding. it also has fittings for a rear pannier rack should your ever feel like going on an expedition or just want to bring a change of clothes and your laptop into work on your commute. The components on this example are Campagnolo Chorus 12 speed with hydraulic disc brakes. The wheels are Fulcrum with Fizik bars, stem, tape and saddle to finish things off.

Get on your turbo for a great cause next Sunday 13 December with Fcc rider Richie Sheerin and Team IRL Zwift

At 8am local Irish time Team IRL Cycling is holding a charity virtual cycle in aid of cancer support services in Ireland. You can take on a variety of distances of a virtual cycle with the longest ride set at 200km.

Pen A: 200km
Pen B: 161km
Pen C: 100km
Pen D: 50km
Pen E: 30km

Open to all zwifters to help raise money which is vital for Team IRL charity partners to exist. 2020 has been an unprecedented challenge for all charities as they struggle to make raise funds through normal channels. With over 4,000 members we hope to be able to give back to our charity partners.

At some point in our lives we have all been touched by the effects of cancer. The charities we have selected are very close our own hearts in Team IRL Cycling. Richie Sheerin, one of our key admin members is currently undergoing treatment for cancer. In March of 2018, Richie an active and fit runner, cyclist and Gaelic football player was diagnosed with Myeloma, a bone marrow cancer. If you want to hear more of his story. Read about it here.

Another recent custom build with Campagnolo - Pinarello F8 with Chorus 11 speed and Bora WTO 33 wheelset. Other nice finishing pieces were the Fizik Argo saddle and Time Xpro 15 titanium pedals featuring upgraded CeramicSpeed bearings. The brake calipers initially struggled with the 26.5mm wide rims but we swapped out the Campagnolo pad holders for some SwissStop ones which gave more room. Rather than setting up tubeless the customer opted for lightweight Tubolito inner tubes. These weigh 40g which is about the same as sealant + valve and hold air extremely well.

One of our recent custom builds was this Canyon Aeroad CF SL 7. This bike was purchased with a Shimano R7000 groupset. We removed this and upgraded it with Campagnolo's top of the range Super Record 12 speed. We also sourced a Campagnolo freehub for the Reynolds AR 58 wheelset.
