Week three on Wednesday the 17th from 11am to 1pm will highlight wood as the most beautiful natural resource, sustainable and practical in our homes.
James Burton of Corrick wood working will demonstrate wood turning at Number 19.
While a collection of his finishing work is on view in store. (Open 7 days!)

Walled City Alive!

Number 19 Craft & Design are leading the heritage programme with Wednesday demonstrations that are interactive and educational. Join us again on Wednesday the 10th for an opportunity to ask Edel anything about knitting and its place in our past & present.
Enjoy stories born from the myth and magic of Aran motif knitting, even try a wool tweed yarn or two 🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶

Wednesday the 17th meet local wood craftsperson James Burton of and Wednesday the 24th take a class with Bridie Mullin Linen while learning the history of Ulster linen.

What is Walled City Alive?

Walled City Alive is a programme of animation, arts and culture taking place throughout June.
The programme includes music, dance, storytelling and hands on creative activity, encouraging locals and visitors alike to engage with the stories and heritage of the Walled City of Derry in a creative way.

Every Wednesday at Number 19 Craft & Design we will host a one off unique workshop!
Thanks to the support of & The Honourable Society (advocates for the famous Walls of Derry) - these demonstrations & workshops are free to attend.

They run 11-1pm on a different craft each week!

Was the first workshop on June 3rd. Visitors benefited from Jane Christie’s renowned knowledge on flower healing.
One visitor travelled from Belfast 🌼🌼🌼🌼

You may have missed the beautiful event but browse the collection in-store seven days a week!

Next week it’s knitter and tutor to the stars with some wool lore and tricks of her art. Kits will be available to purchase but the class is free to walk in! 11am-1pm at Number 19 The Craft Village, In the 🩵 of Derry City. The Number 1 place for local artist & craft maker shopping.
