I have so many ideas and projects lined up I thought I'd need a little help, so I bought this smashing Cricut bundle. Dollies Dimples has started to branch out and grow in ways I certainly didn't expect this year, all the sewing workshops are fully booked for the September session starting on Tuesday, I'm so excited to be teaching again, My private sewing lessons are filling up and I have so many Christmas ideas to make to stock up the shops I supply. There's life in this old girl yet haha 😄 💪 ❤️

Hi to all my lovely Dollies ❤️ I'm back from a lovely break and I am already very busy getting all your orders ready to go out this morning, thank you all so much for your patience I appreciate it so much. I can't wait to show you all the inspirational ideas I had whilst laying on the beach. I will start posting them as soon as I get them made and tested. Dollies Dimples H.Q. still warm enough to have dinner in the garden with a wee glass of something delicious...we are so lucky to live here, we are smack bang between two churches St Johns and St Andrews. We inherited these bay trees and folklore says we need these two bay trees to protect us from the evil spirits, one on the back gate and one at the corner of the house. We even have a wee grave in the back garden slabs for Sarah, she may be a dog she may not, we really don't know, but bless you Sarah, you were loved enough to have a wee grave. ❤️

Our 4-week sewing adventure starts in September.

I am absolutely thrilled to welcome you to our upcoming 4-week beginner’s sewing course! Whether you have never touched a sewing machine in your life, or it has been a few decades and you need a gentle refresher, this class is a completely relaxed, judgment-free, and lovely space to learn.

We are going to take you from absolute novice to confident creator in just four weeks. It is going to be wonderful. Here is our weekly plan.

Week 1: Meet Your Machine! No actual sewing just yet. We will demystify the machine, practice threading, wind bobbins, and master sewing in straight lines and curves on scrap fabric. Then onto precision cutting with a rotary cutter, perfect for building your confidence. If you have mastered the sewing machine you can make a pin cushion.

Week 2: The Envelope Cushion Cover. Our first proper project! You will learn how to press crisp edges and sew a gorgeous, zip-free cushion cover.

Week 3: The Super-Simple full length Apron. We will use ready-made webbing ties to keep things wonderfully straightforward.

Week 4: The Waterproof Zipped Pouch. Yes, you can handle zips! We will conquer your zip fears together and line the inside with waterproof fabric—perfect for makeup, toiletries, or medication

What you need to bring:

Just yourselves and your fabric for the projects! (I will send a separate email once booked and paid with the exact measurements for the sewing class

What we provide:

Absolutely everything else!
A workbook for each project for you to take home,we have sewing machines ready for you (though you are very welcome to bring your own if you prefer, please let me know at time of booking). All threads, pins, scissors, measuring tapes, and irons are completely taken care of.
Most importantly, the kettle will be firmly on, the biscuit tin will be fully stocked, and there will be plenty of hot drinks and sweet treats to keep our creative energy flowing.

These classes will be running on Tuesday mornings 10.a.m to 12 noon the dates are 15th ,22nd ,29th September and 6th of October. This is £100 for the 4 week block. 1 space left
Or an evening class from 6.30p.m to 8.30p.m Wednesday
16th,23rd,30th September and 7th October 2 spaces left
I also have two spaces left on the complete beginners quilting course.Thursday evenings 17th,24th, September and 1st,8th October. 2 spaces left.

All classes are a maximum of 6 to keep everything calm, fun and easy to manage in your own time.

I'm getting these little quints ready to be posted out, I could honestly play with dolly's and babies all day long. My favourite poem ever is
"I Once Had a Sweet Little Doll, Dears" (also known as "The Lost Doll") it's a famous poem by English author Charles Kingsley, originally published in his 1863 book The Water-Babies.

My Little Doll
I once had a sweet little doll, dears,
The prettiest doll in the world;
Her cheeks were so red and so white, dears,
And her hair was so charmingly curled.
But I lost my poor little doll, dears,
As I played in the heath one day;
And I cried for more than a week, dears,
But I never could find where she lay.
