Bringing Green Tulip and Everyday Green together has been a really interesting time, as soon as we started to work out the HOW, it became clear that the WHY was so right!
We wanted to bring you a wider range to shop from, and you have certainly embraced that - our orders have everyday eco essentials and beautiful gifts, or maybe you are treating yourselves? Either way, it's great so thank you!
We wanted to streamline our process, we are a small team and it is so important to us that you get the absolute best service we can provide and any efficiencies we make, will benefit this.
Here you can see Charity choosing the new paper packing tape for orders, one tape means easier packing for Zoe..(don't worry, nothing is wasted here - all the old tape will be used first!).
Thank you for embracing our journey, this is not goodbye, it's see you in our new home πŸ’š
Follow the Green Tulip socials for the same great sustainable content and head over to https://www.greentulip.co.uk/ to explore everything under one roof.

Do you compost? Turning food scraps into gorgeous organic rich compost seems like a magic trick, but it's one that your compost bin does without you even thinking about it! With a balance of materials, microorganisms, insects and worms and the right conditions, your food scraps can be compost in as little as a few weeks.
But winter and spring can be a tricky time of year for your heap. When the temperature is low, it can stop working for a while. Although it won't be harmed by the cold, it's simply hibernating! You can wrap it in fleece or wool, or wait for warm weather to wake it back up. Right now they are starting to come back to life. Composting can drastically reduce your waste and lower your carbon footprint, and it's actually great fun, so why not give it a try? 🌱

Discover A Slice of Green: A Truly Sustainable Brand πŸ’š

The idea for A Slice of Green came in 2015 after founder Charity Nichols had been running her ethical gifts business for nearly 10 years. Whilst looking for new products to stock, she became increasingly aware that many brands were claiming its products were sustainable, but found that most were actually mass produced and included a large amount of plastic. The very opposite of sustainable!
To find out how the journey from 'ideas' to products on the shelves takes place (and to find out Lola's 🐢 role in the whole process!)- read our latest journal post πŸ’š

Wondering what Earth Day is all about?
🌍Earth Day is an annual event is a chance for us to come together, raise awareness about environmental issues, and take action to protect our beautiful planet.

🌎Earth Day is an annual event held on April 22nd across the globe to show support for environmental protection. April 22nd, Earth Day began in 1970 as a way to raise environmental awareness, and marks the anniversary of the birth of the modern environmental movement.

🌏Earth Day is an opportunity to pause and reflect on the environmental challenges we face, to raise awareness and encourage people to take action to protect our planet. But it's also a day to celebrate the beauty and wonder of our planet, along with our role to protect it.

This year's Earth Day theme, 'Planet vs. Plastics' is particularly relevant. With calls to advocate for widespread awareness on the health risk of plastics, rapidly phase out all single use plastics, urgently push for a strong UN Treaty on Plastic Pollution, and demand an end to fast fashion. Increasing awareness is the first step toward making more informed decisions in our lives.
