All hooped up and ready to commence stitching this little cutie. I mean, who can resist 1 teddy bear, let alone SIX!!

I do have a couple more of this kit, which I'll be taking to on Saturday 18th April in Butchers Hall, Tavistock. Hopefully, I'll have finished this one by then, if so, I'll bring it with me for you to see.
I only have a couple more, so if you can't wait, or don't want to miss out, DM me for details.

Good morning and Happy Monday...
I'm painfully aware of my Insta silence for the past few months....I think it's safe to say, I'm not a Winter person really. I can tolerate, and even quite enjoy, cold, crisp, fosty days, they have their beauty....
It's the grey, non-stop rain and gale force winds that bring on my hibernation mode. Boy, have we had some rain, it's somewhat difficult to believe there can be any more up there, it just has barely stopped!!
What with that and world events...☹️ I won't even get started on that topic!!

Current weather....dark, windy and pouring...but...

Look what Mr. Postman has just popped through my door.... 👀 Oooooo.....I'm beside myself, I've had it in my virtual basket for weeks now and finally bit the bullet and ordered it, having had a quick flick through... I am not only filled with enthusiasm but I feel quite 'grown up'. Like one day, I might be a 'Proper Maker'. I was going to use the word 'sewer' there, but it made me sound like a DRAIN, so I didn't... 😂
Anyway, there is so much useful, practical information and so many inspiring projects, all clearly laid out, explained and illustrated. I think we are going to be best friends 🧡

We're having a chilled couple of days and then it's down to it, getting everything ready for the marvellous Christmas Fair.

We've lots of wonderful things to take, including some terrific seasonal embroidery kits. Having some down time gives me the opportunity to enjoy stitching some samples, and this one is such fun...
I do have a couple of these to take to but number are very limited. There are loads of other designs for you to snap up, but you're going to have to be quick!!!.

Good morning, and Happy Tuesday!!
It's a sunny one here in our life piece of Devon, and I'm going to head out to the garden to finish my Spring bulb planting.
However, before that, I thought I'd share some ecoprinting I did last week.
We took Loula dog for a beautiful woods walk, locally, and I picked up some leaves and bits and bobs. My pockets are invariably stuffed with dog treats, stones, twigs and leaves 🐕 🍂 🍁 😂
When we got home I searched the garden and also found some acorns, which the squirrels had missed!
I already had some vintage linen, which I had previously mordanted, so off I went, and here are some photographs of the results.

Check out .clothtales for some really well explained videos on how to mordant your cloth and then get some lovely print results. There's lots of tutorials on YouTube but Katherine has some marvellously inspiring ideas on all things cloth creative..

Having been concentrating on some seasonally themed embroidery recently, my vol.8 quilt has taken a bit of a back seat.
However, I'm back now and thought I'd show you where I am...
The patchwork prompt resulted in my making a 9-square using leftover scrap vintage pieces. I've never made a 9-square block before, and I sewed it by hand. It was really enjoyable and something I would like to do more of when time allows. I then cut the 9-square into a heart and used needle turned applique to add it to my quilt.
Some vintage lace and a couple more vintage doilies have also been stitched into place.
It's coming along!!! 💪 🤞😄

After a rather mixed bag of weather this week, the gateway to the weekend has been bright, dry and calm, what a relief, we've even seen the sun! 😎

Whilst I appreciate it's still only mid-September, I have already seen mince pies and Christmas puddings in the shops..SO..
That is all the excuse I needed to make a start on some Christmas stitching... 🎄 😄

Hello all, and Happy hump day...

We're currently having a little break, and so this fab funghi embroidery is completed, and I've immediately made a start on a new one.
I'll show you what I'm now working on later, but for now, I do hope you enjoy this one as much as I have doing it.
