Stepping outside is incredibly beneficial for grief because it reconnects us with the natural world and our own inner selves in profound ways. Nature has a naturally soothing quality. The sound of rustling leaves and breathing in fresh air helps clear the mind and invigorate the body, providing a physical sense of renewal that can help lift emotional burdens. Walking or gentle movement also stimulates endorphin release, naturally boosting mood.

Being outdoors allows for space and quiet to reflect, process emotions, and gain perspective. It can help us see beyond the pain and find moments of peace.

It can generate ideas and help stimulate imagination and creativity.

So, I hope you stepped out today and if not, try tomorrow.

Should I turn this into a print?

A barn owl a magpie having a disagreement.
Inspired by a scene I saw on my drive to work one day. The image stuck with me. The two beautiful birds. The barn owl with the ghostly appearance battling one for sorrow. It felt very Tell the Bees.
