HWCFR Dilwyn First Responders Dilwyn Community First Responders (CFR) are volunteers who supprt WestMidlandsAmbulanceService We are a charity working under the operational direction of WMAS.

Gerry and Abi are dedicated volunteer community first responders (CFRs) based in Dilwyn, responding to the surrounding areas. As CFRs, we are trained in advanced first aid, responding to category 1 and 2 (Life-threatening calls) from the West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) operations room. We aim to arrive before the ambulance to administer life-saving procedures or reassurance and scene safety

until the ambulance arrives. Therefore, we must fundraise for all our equipment. Alongside our on-call duties we run basic first aid, CPR and AED awareness training

FREE BASIC FIRST AID
10am-12pm Saturday 9th November Cedar hall, Dilwyn

Covering unconscious casualty, choking, CPR and AED awareness.
This session is aimed at new families (parents, grandparents, guardians and older siblings) with a focus on Baby and Child BASIC First aid.
The session is free but we do welcome a donation.

Children and babies welcome. We will put some toys out and flexible around the needs of the group.

One of our team assisted HWCFR Dilwyn First Responders this week. With the cooler weather the battery needed replacement. Bennetts Vehicle Services attended checked the vehicle over and replaced the battery. We were more than happy to donate our time and a battery. This is a great service operated by volunteers. Hopefully this small gesture will keep the team able to respond.
