Aged 14-25? Fancy having a go at auctioneering fruit, veg or jam? Sounds weird/interesting?

On Wednesday 23rd September from 6-9pm it's our annual, legendary Harvest Auction at Squash. Saba & Clare have been Harvest Auction auctioneers for many years and they love it. They want to share the love and offer a few auctioneering spots to newcomers!

It's part performance, part stand-up comedy, and an essential role in our annual fundraising evening. We're raising funds for a children's hospital in Yemen Habibti Liverpool a free soup offer at Squash and roof repairs for local community hub Kuumba Imani Millenium Centre

If you're interested, dm us and we'll book in a cuppa. P.s. it's a voluntary role. There will be a tasty dinner x

Much love, Saba & Clare

Our annual seed share is a really important event in the Squash growing year. We’re passionate about seeds. We’ve been building the Toxteth Seed Library since 2010 – a fundamental element of our 100 Year Vision for Windsor Street and neighbourhood. On Sunday 27th September from 11-2pm, come and meet the Squash gardeners, who are the seed keepers and caretakers of this great legacy.

Help clean, sort and pack seeds after the summer’s growth. Come and talk about how the heatwaves have affected us all this year and how together we can face and navigate the climate crisis. Draw and paint seeds and decorate seed packets.

Drop-in. Free / by donation to the upkeep of Toxteth Seed Library.

It's looking like tomorrow eve is the hottest time of this current heatwave - 35c+.

We can't put our volunteers & staff under that strain, or expect you to travel here when it's so hot.

So - we've made the decision to cancel tomorrow evenings summer night session.

Let's work out another time for solstice reflections & street nature drawing when it's cooler. And times for considering what we can do together about the climate crisis.

The next Squash Summer Night then is Thursday 30th July 6-8pm when rumour has it there'll be climate emergency stand up & swing singing!

We'll save the elderflower & rose cordial we made in community at the May summer night session.
