Hello we would like to take a minute to address a few issues we have been having lately regarding false reviews on our google pages 😡
We have had a few 1 star reviews regarding over charging for products or we’re shutting early with no warnings - the list goes on 😴 Firstly we have not over charged anyone or upped the price at the till like stated on a few reviews ( if anything we do the best we can for our loyal customers ) the price is the price and that’s final “ Also we dont want hear we can get it cheaper here or there or at the garden centre “ if you can then why are you in our shops we dont force anyone to come in ? seems to be that people don’t really understand how running a shop works. We have a lot of over heads from business rates, wages, electricity, water, rents the list goes on it’s expensive and it’s only getting worse.
Long Stratton is basically a ghost town since the new bypass has opened up we’re on the fence to as if long term it’s going to be viable to keep the shop open with rising over heads…
We are a family run business and sometimes we have to shut the shops early these things happen but we always let people know, that may be a Facebook post (that’s when we are allowed to post due to Facebook guidelines!) or a note on the door. We try are best to keep every customer happy with the products we sell and the service we give it’s just a shame a few people like to try and ruin it and especially by saying things that simply are not true ( these are not our regular customers btw ) Regarding most of the reviews we know for a fact that there not true as we have cctv in all shops that can be played back at any time !! so it’s a shame that people are trying to give us a bad name.
We also haven’t changed our prices since the day we opened even tho our cost price on certain items have gone up 50% and most items are now 30% higher than when we started , however we are taking the hit on this as it’s not the customers fault.
Sorry for the rant but it’s got to the point where we have had enough of the false reviews and the lies that have been said about us.
Support local as your high street shops are dropping like flys.
