Best alto ever gear 4 music luxury model , comes with inbuilt key wear , air conditioned pads through leaks , extra thick oil to take out key wobble , soft pads for deep seating to uneven tonehole rims . Wonder what it’s like in the standard trim .

Selmer mk6 1974 alto . This has been a pain to service . I’m guessing it’s had a fair amount of body damage then re lacquered and then damaged again on bottom bow and repaired again judging by the crazed laquer . So many parts out of line , rods not lining up and jamming in the keys . Oval tone holes. Taped up bell joint as it won’t go all the way in because of soldered pillar in wrong place , etc etc .
Done what I can and now blows like a 6 should .

Pennsylvania baritone on the bench to give me a shoulder workout. Who ever padded this at some point obviously smoked himself to death on park drive cigs , as every pad so far has the packet cutout on the back . Customer recently bought this and it was supposedly just serviced, not very well by the looks of it . Terrible tone holes , no shellac to float pads .
