Good evening to all of my wonderful followers. Today was my last day at my little flower shop on Beckett Road after 7 and a half years. I put 1000% of my blood, sweat and tears into it but my back could not take anymore and the floristry trade is getting harder and harder. The shop will remain a florists which is great for the local area and will become Flowers World which already has a very successful florists in Scunthorpe, so we wish them all the very best in the future branching out in Doncaster.
I have done floristry for 20+ years so I am taking a break. i cannot be a lady of leisure unfortunately so I have returned to a job I did part time alongside the floristry several years ago, working at the Post Office in Epworth alongside Richard who local Wheatley people may remember had the post office at the bottom of Beckett Road many years ago. Richard and his two girls, Hayley and Bev have made me feel very welcome and worked my saturday shifts so I could fulfil my remaining wedding orders, I am really grateful to all of them❤️
A massive thanks to my Dad for supporting me over the last seven years and to the rest of my family for all their support. I will have family time back and I cannot wait❤️❤️❤️, no 4am starts, late finishes, working Sundays, ordering flowers at 10 at night and my first Mothers Day in about 23 years🩷💙
Lastly, a massive thank you to all of my customers who helped me to build the business from nothing and trusted me with flowers for all occasions, tributes for their most loved ones and wedding flowers on their special day. It was so lovely to finish this weekend doing the wedding flowers for such a wonderful couple. The final weeks were spent doing 4 weddings and a funeral, ironic when it is one of my favourite films🙂
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of you wonderful people, you made a dream come true but my back is knackered😂😂❤️❤️❤️
