With Easter round the corner, why not order a delicious local beef box to enjoy over the long weekend? With a mouth-watering selection of cuts included in each one, there are so many possibilities. Juicy roast beef? A hearty stew? Succulent steaks? Satisfying cottage pie?

Our beef is individually vacuum packed and frozen and will retain its excellent quality until November 2025.

Our animals have spent almost their entire lives out on one of Dorset’s heathland nature reserves where they are able to roam and exhibit natural behaviours. They are pedigree Red Ruby cattle - a hardy native breed, well suited to living outdoors all year round. Red Ruby are also slow to mature which gives the meat a rich flavour. This is further enhanced 4 weeks of dry aging at the award winning Blackmore Vale Butchery where it is then vacuum packed ready to go in your freezer.

We have 2 sizes of meat box available:

5kg - £65
A 5kg box typically contains: 1x Quick roast joint, 1x Slow roast joint, 2x Rump/sirloin steak, 2x 500g Stewing/braising steak, 2x 500g Prime mince.

10kg - £130
A 10kg box typically contains: 2x Quick roast joint, 2x Slow roast joint, 2x Rump/sirloin steak, 4x 500g Stewing steak/braising steak, 4x 500g Prime mince.

We also have a small number of rib joints ranging from 1.2kg-3.2kg, priced at £30 per kilo. These will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Local free range beef

We have a small herd of cattle that live out on one of the nearby heathland nature reserves and next week will be collecting our beef boxes. If you are interested in buying some local and sustainable beef, please get in touch by commenting or messaging me.

Only a few weeks until Easter 🐣🥚🌼

Why not order one of our beef boxes so you can enjoy a delicious roast of local beef over the long weekend?

Our cattle are raised on a heathland nature reserve just outside Crossways, eating whatever they fancy and generally having a lovely time. They also benefit the wildlife by helping to munch on the invasive shrubs that can outcompete rarer heathland plants.
They are a slow growing, native breed and all the meat is dry aged for 3-4 weeks so you can look forward to rich, tender and flavourful beef with the added benefit of it being locally produced.

A 5kg box of beef is £60 and typically contains:
2 sirloin or rump steaks
1 Quick roasting joint
1 Slow roasting joint
2 Braising/stewing steak
1 Shin of beef
2 Prime mince

A 10kg box is £120 and contains double the quantities above.

Our small herd of pedigree Ruby Red cattle graze the heathland nature reserve all year round, eating a wide variety of grasses, shrubs and even trees. They get to exhibit natural behaviours and have minimal human intervention.

All our meat is vacuum packed, frozen and ready for the recipient when they have the freezer space (allow at least 1 drawer for 5kg, 2 drawers for 10kg) and we can deliver for free within 15 miles of Crossways.

A 5kg box of mixed cuts is £60 and typically contains 2 roasting joints, 2 packs of mince, 2 steaks, 1 pack of shin & 2 packs of stewing/braising steak.
