🌸 SHARE THE LOVE — THE HOUSE OF BLOOM 🌸

It’s time for another Share the Love, and today we’re staying local and heading to Dorchester. 💕

This gorgeous business is The House of Bloom, and actually, this one is completely new to me!

They were recommended by my lovely friend and huge Boo’s supporter, Natasha, after she spotted my post asking you all to share the small businesses you think deserve a little extra love. She told me, “You need to take a look at this one!” — and of course, I did. 🌷

And WOW… what a beautiful florist!

Based on High East Street in Dorchester, The House of Bloom creates the most stunning floral arrangements, from beautiful bouquets and gifts to flowers for those really special occasions. They also create bespoke wedding florals, including bridal bouquets, ceremony flowers and centrepieces. 🌸💍 (The House Of Bloom)

One of the things I’m loving about doing this series is discovering businesses that have been right on my doorstep that I simply didn’t know about before — and this is exactly why I wanted to start Share the Love.

💕 SHARE THE LOVE — DELICIOUS BY DESIGN 🧁

It’s time to Share the Love once again, and today it’s all about CAKE! 🎂✨

Today’s small business is the gorgeous Delicious by Design, run by the equally gorgeous Jo.

I first got to know Jo through the school run, and since then I’ve been lucky enough to call her a great friend. She genuinely is one of the kindest, most caring people I know — and she also happens to be incredibly talented!

Now, let’s talk about the important bit… the cakes. 😍

Her treats are absolutely INSANE. There’s just something about a perfectly made cupcake topped with the most beautiful icing — and cupcakes are my absolute favourite, by the way! 🧁😂

But Jo doesn’t just make cakes… she creates little works of art. Her birthday and celebration cakes are absolutely stunning, and the amount of detail that goes into them is incredible.

This year she also ventured into the world of events, joining us at the Kite Festival, where her cookie chips and dips went down VERY well! 🍪

So, if you’re local to Dorchester and looking for an incredible baker for a birthday, celebration or simply because you fancy something delicious, please go and check out Delicious by Design.

✨ SHARE THE LOVE – DAY 6 ✨

Today’s small business love goes to EE Boutique in Weymouth — a gorgeous independent boutique full of absolutely amazing fashion finds! 🛍️🤍

This is definitely one of my favourite fashion boutiques to visit. There is always so much to choose from, with gorgeous, on-trend pieces and something new catching my eye every time I pop in.

But I also love the story behind this boutique.

Many years ago, in my younger days, this boutique was owned by a different lady, and I can still remember going in after school just to look at all the clothes. Fashion and retail have always been a huge love of mine, so there is something really lovely about seeing a boutique I remember from all those years ago continuing to evolve and grow.

And I am certainly still a fan today! ❤️

Supporting independent businesses isn’t just about where we spend our money. It’s about supporting the people, passion and stories behind our high streets — and keeping those special businesses going for the next generation.

So, next time you’re in Weymouth, make sure you pay EE Boutique a visit. You might just find your new favourite outfit! 🛍️✨

❤️ Share the Love – Day 5 ❤️

Tonight’s Share the Love is a little different because we’ve literally just got home from experiencing this one for ourselves!

For Day 5, I’m sharing the love for Meram Kitchen – Turkish Cuisine in Brewery Square. 🇹🇷✨ meramkitchen.dorchester

What an absolutely gorgeous restaurant. From the moment we walked in, the venue was beautiful — and I have to give a special mention to the stunning cherry tree 🌸. I absolutely loved it!

And then there was the food… WOW. 😍

Everything we had was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented and full of flavour. It was one of those evenings where you come away already talking about when you’re going to go back.

I started this Share the Love series because I wanted to shine a light on businesses that deserve a little extra love, and after our experience this evening, this one definitely deserved a place.

If you’re local to Dorset and love Turkish food, this is certainly one to add to your list.

❤️ DAY 4 — SHARE THE LOVE ❤️

Today’s Share the Love is a little different because this is a business that is completely new to me!

Someone recommended The Farmers Butcher in the New Forest to me and my first thought was… how do I not know about this place?! 😂

The New Forest is genuinely one of my favourite places to visit. I don’t get there anywhere near as often as I’d like — I normally seem to be driving past it on the M27 rather than actually stopping — but I think I may have just found a very good reason to change that!

And then there’s the fact that I LOVE a farm shop. ❤️

We’re lucky to have some gorgeous farm shops here in Dorset, but there’s just something special about wandering around a proper farm shop, discovering local produce, finding something you wouldn’t normally buy and, of course, somehow leaving with considerably more than you went in for! 😂

The Farmers Butcher & Farm Shop is based in Bramshaw in the New Forest and, from what I’ve discovered so far, this looks right up my street — an award-winning butcher and farm shop championing local meat from New Forest and Hampshire farms, alongside all those lovely farm-shop finds.

And apparently there’s coffee too… ☕️ So really, what more convincing do I need?!

One of the things I wanted from this Share the Love challenge was not only to celebrate the small businesses I already know and love, but to discover some new ones too.

So Day 4 goes to The Farmers Butcher, New Forest. ❤️

I haven’t visited yet, so this one is officially going onto my list — and thank you to the person who recommended them!
