After 14 very happy years at Gallery on the Square we have decided to retire and take some time to see family and to travel.

It has been a hard decision to make as we have loved being on Poundbury and meeting so many lovely people and making so many friends. We will stay in touch.

Our Gallery and gift show are now closed but a fantastic new business will be taking over our premises soon.

Thank you to all our fabulous customers who have supported and encouraged us over the years. We will miss you.

Just in at the gallery: some marvellous new coastal canvases by landscape painter Roger Seddon. The three shown here: Day's End (Late Summer, Poole Harbour), Golden Evening, Kimmeridge Bay and A Morning on the Water.
The gallery is open every day except Sundays. Current exhibitors also include Colin Willey, Rebecca Drury, John Boyd, Charlie Money and Sue Fawthrop.

Bridport-based John Boyd has been a professional artist for more than 25 years, finding constant inspiration in the Dorset coastline.
His love of the landscape is evident in his work, and he has built a substantial reputation for his atmospheric style, and ability to capture a distinctive place or mood.
This painting, Quiet Day at West Bay, is one of a number to be found in our current Spring Exhibition at Gallery On The Square.

Just arrived in the Gallery: original watercolours from Cathy Veale!

Cathy's serene coastal paintings have won her a significant following. We sell her pictures regularly as framed prints, but the meticulous and time-consuming nature of her work means that she is not prolific, so originals are not very often available.

However, Cathy has just brought us several originals, which are now on the wall of the gallery! It is a rare chance to see a set of her original paintings in one place - and to acquire one, if you are are so inclined!

We are open from 9.30 to 5 Monday to Saturday, closed on Sundays.

Hope you have a chance to get out and enjoy the weekend!
If conditions outside are still a little too bracing for comfort, there is plenty of warmth and colour to be found in our marvellous new exhibition of paintings by Lucy Erskine, packed with landscapes from Italy and South Africa as well as Dorset and the Westcountry. Also: new ceramics from Gilly Whittington and Rob Whelpton, and a couple of terrific new large paintings from John Boyd.
On the clothing side, we’ve got it all covered, with everything from pack-away raincoats to the summer things you will be needing (we hope) very soon.
We’re open all over the bank holiday weekend: Saturday 9.30 to 5pm, Sunday 10am to 4pm and Monday 10am to 3pm. We hope we may see you!
