It's our bookshop birthday!!!
Today we turn 9!
9 how did that happen it doesn't seem like that long ago we said yes to something totally out of our comfort zone but it seems it is haha and we are still so pleased we did.
We love reading, we love books and we love making smiles appear when children spot their next read, someone is amazed by our stall and spends ages just looking because there is 'so much choice', when we get books into schools at no cost to them and they are very excited, hearing authors we have arranged to visit schools speak and seeing how the students react. We also love the friendships we have made, both within the Usborne community and at events and in schools. There is so much to love and we really do just enjoy seeing people smile when they find a book they want to read, it makes us warm inside 🥰
We as always have a million people to thank but most of them know who they are obviously you guys on here reading this are one of them, you have played a big part in this so thank you and to all our customers, friends, event organisers, schools and authors it's been a pleasure working with you, let's keep it up.
On another note 🙈 we haven't been active much here this year so far, there is a reason, the same one as before Christmas... i got sick (Darlene) and creating and typing and concentrating and remembering are all currently quite tricky but we will try to appear more soon. To everyone who has stuck around, thank you from the bottom of our hearts ❤️📚
