The Tulip is a one-of-a-kind reclaimed tulipwood pedestal dining table, handmade in England. One piece — when it’s gone, it’s gone.

The top is reclaimed, slightly uneven, solid tulipwood, 4cm thick — harder and denser than pine, with a finer grain that moves less with changes in temperature and humidity. Hand-sealed with varnish and lightly whitewashed by hand, the finish preserves the natural grain while giving the surface a soft, pale translucency that deepens in character rather than showing wear. This Saturday, 8 August, we’re taking our stand to the Okewood, Ockley & Forest Green Flower Show — just down the lane from the showroom. We’ll be bringing vintage decor and smaller furniture pieces from the showroom. The sort of things you can carry home and live with straight away. Come ands visit us!

This is an annual local event with the flower and produce marquee, a fun dog show, children’s activities, food stalls, music and craft. A proper English country show, run by the village since 1893.

Bring the dog, bring the children, make an afternoon of it. And if you’d like to see the larger pieces, our showroom is two minutes away in Okewood Hill — open all weekend.

New in! This twelve-drawer chest is handmade in Europe from solid-format pine, heavy in a way that communicates quality immediately.

As a statement storage piece it works hardest in a hallway, kitchen, or bedroom where presence matters. Finished in a slightly distressed black with a hand-applied paint technique that allows the natural wood texture to remain visible beneath, closer to a period farmhouse dresser than anything from a modern catalogue. Top is finished in natural wax.
