Here are some fun facts about what will be the final Dutch Grand Prix for the foreseeable future. Zandvoort has produced some fantastic races in recent seasons, thanks in no small part to its twisting layout winding its way through the natural dunes of the Dutch coast.

Did you know the banking at Zandvoort, host to this weekend’s Dutch Grand Prix, is twice as steep as that at the famous Indianapolis Oval in the US?

The banked corners at the twisting circuit, which dips and climbs through natural coastal sand dunes, reach up to 18 degrees, compared with around 9 degrees at Indianapolis.

And this weekend is a special one as it’s Zandvoort’s final Dutch Grand Prix, as well as the circuit’s first-ever F1 Sprint weekend.
