Important Information for Our Customers.

From 1 October 2026, the Government is introducing a new tax called the Va**ng Products Duty.

The duty will add 22p plus VAT for every 1ml of e-liquid contained in a product. That works out at £2.64 including VAT for each 10ml.

This could add approximately:

10ml bottle — £2.64
50ml bottle — £13.20
80ml bottle — £21.12
100ml bottle — £26.40

These amounts are the new duty and VAT alone, before any other supplier or retail costs.

We completely understand that customers will be unhappy about the price increases. We are unhappy about them too.

White Cliffs V**e has been serving adult customers responsibly for 14 years. We check identification, follow the law and do not sell va**ng products to children.

Sadly, responsible specialist v**e shops and their long-standing customers are now facing the consequences of retailers who have ignored the rules, sold illegal products or supplied v**es to under-18s.

We all called for those retailers to face tough enforcement action. It never came. However, this new duty will now also punish legitimate businesses and responsible adults who have done nothing wrong.

When prices change, please remember:

This is not a price increase we have chosen.

It is a Government duty that will be added to each and every bottle of liquid before they reach our shelves.

We will continue doing everything possible to offer fair prices, responsible advice and legal, compliant products. Existing stock may remain available at current prices before the duty begins, so regular customers may wish to plan ahead and make use of our current offers.

I wanted to share a quick update with our customers.

Like most small businesses, we’ve been facing steadily rising costs across the board — including rent, tax, wages, utilities, and the cost of the stock. Indeed the NLW has increased again today. We’ve done our very best to absorb these increases over the years and as you know, have kept most of our prices the same for a very long time.

Unfortunately, to continue running sustainably and maintain the quality you expect from us, we now have no alternative but to introduce a small increase to *some* of our prices.

We want to reassure you that any changes and increases will be kept to an absolute minimum, and we will always strive to offer the best possible value.

Any price increases will take effect from Thursday 2nd April 2026.
