Getting to know my couples has always been an important part of my design process, so a discovery call has always felt like a natural place to start.

Actually, it’s a studio!

And some pretty big and beautiful things have come out of my messy little ‘shed’ at the bottom of the garden.

It’s where my team and I condition flowers, make arrangements, work through the details and leave ourselves approximately six inches of clear worktop to work from.

For most of our weddings, so much of the making happens on site: building installations, bringing all the elements together and making those final adjustments once we can see everything in the space.

A few snippets from this season, bringing my couples’ ideas to life. Quite proud of what we’ve managed from the bottom of the garden 🤍

When I was 13, my art teacher told me I probably shouldn’t take art at GCSE. Drawing and painting really didn’t come naturally to me.

I listened. I took photography instead, and found something I loved — colour, composition and telling stories through images.

At 18, I started a corporate career, thinking it would help fund my own photography business one day. Somewhere along the way, that dream faded, perhaps because photography itself wasn’t my passion…

At 24, I discovered flowers.

Now, at 30, I run my own business, creating flowers and spaces that help tell people’s love stories. Colour, composition and storytelling are still at the heart of everything I do — I just work with different materials now.

And Mrs A, if you’re reading this — I promise this isn’t a call-out! You helped me find a way to channel my creativity through photos, and I still use what you taught me every time I put flowers together. I hope you know how much of you is in what I do now!
