A limited number of our unique copper Chr....... trees are on sale now. 49 x 41 at its widest and treated with a silk lacquer to avoid tarnish. Unfortunately the cost of copper requires an increase in price this year. £25 each

It is with deep regret that I am unable to continue to run Crafters 27 High Street. The pandemic did some of the damage but current economic uncertainty and subsequent lack of sales makes it impossible to continue trading as the showcase for local arts and crafts. It is not only myself that will be without this unique facility but also the 17 people who provide such a large range of innovative and individual products for sale. My landlord has been very generous in respect of rent but despite this I am closing the door for the last time on 25th June. Thank you to all who have supported this venture. Sue

I feel the time is right to make you aware of the situation re Crafters. As previously mentioned all small businesses have struggled during the pandemic period and aftermath. I spoke recently with my landlady who has agreed to a rent reduction. I have reluctantly accepted but would hope to repay the shortfall in time. However I have serious concerns about Crafters' future in the current financial climate. I will continue with the shop until September in the hope of an increase in trading. Fingers crossed.

A reminder of what Crafters provides to the area. 17 local people provide a wide array of art and crafts. All no more than 20 miles from the Dulverton shop which runs on the commission charged. If sales are low then the amount of money to pay rent and utilities is also low. As with all retailers the last two years have been a challenge. So before going online please visit the shop to buy a gift. The shop is a showcase for the knitters Stitchers wood workers artists photographers jewelers and many more. Come and see what these talented people and perhaps support this community resource. Sue

Are there any beaders in the area who would like to top up their stock. I have had a quantity of beads donated to whomever can use them. Free of charge numerous shapes sizes and colours. The storage boxes must deserve a look.
