πŸ“£ CUSTOMER ANNOUNCEMENT πŸ“£

This week in Dumfries M&S a few changes are happening in our tilling area.

We are hoping to keep disruption to a minimum while the change is going on but it’ll all be worth it❀️

From Thursday we will have a new self scan till area with a few more self service tills.
Don’t worry we will also be keeping our 3 belted tills as well.

The biggest change will be we are getting Scan and Shop hand held devices to help make your shopping experience quicker and easier for our customers.

As always our team will be on hand to assist through the next few days and for the new tilling area πŸš€

The introduction of a few more self serve tills and the scan and shop hand held devices will mean we can focus on our shop floor to make sure you get everything you need when shopping with us.

Please bear with us for the next 3 days and we will do our best to make this as smooth as possible.

Today colleagues, leaders and furry friends from across our local stores set off from Kingstown store on their 19-mile leg of a regional effort to walk 80 miles to take part in M&S’ biggest FUN-raiser yet to support Young Minds charity, which ensures no young person feels alone with their mental health.

The walk began on Tuesday 9th in Chorley and today ended with the group walking 19 miles to Carlisle English Street store, arriving this afternoon.

Well done all and especially Team Dumfries for pounding those pavements 🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Our Store Manager had the chance yesterday to pop into South of Scotland Wildlife Hospital and got to reunite herself with our duckling team.
The pictures show how much they have grown and they are nearly ready for the big world on their own πŸ¦†

This looks like this could be nearly the end of our updates on our wee M&S duckling squad. We can’t believe the difference in them now and it’s all thanks to the care and attention South of Scotland Wildlife Hospital have given them since the loss of their mum.
What a beautiful thought to release them in the nith and then they won’t be too far away from us to visit ❀️

To support our charity partnership with YoungMinds, M&S colleagues from Dumfries and Carlisle are doing a sponsored 19mile walk around Carlisle on Friday 12th June

YoungMinds support thousands of young people and the adults in their lives every day through their services and their parents’ helpline, offering support when it’s really needed. You can do your bit by rounding up your payment at the till for the next 10 days.
