Cosy season is upon us, folks, and what better way to celebrate her arrival than a gorgeous handmade teapot for all your cosy brews?!

This delightful piece was made by Pru Green, the founder of Gwili Pottery in Carmarthen. She’s known for her impeccable throwing and use of coloured slips in her decorative design work. Pru has since moved back to Anglia and is semi-retired. An excellent example of her work, sure to brighten anyone’s day!

Our workshop is proud to be a maker of traditional sporrans- always hand stitched, always solid brass hardware, and always made with care. These day sporrans are available in the Mercantile now (and up on our site!), and can also be custom ordered with any colours, and even an insert in the flap panel.

Our sporran chains are made in Walsall especially for us by a generations-old family business, F Martin & Son, and we love using vintage belt buckles like the one here for kilt belts.

Both sporrans here feature J&E Sedgwick bridle leather, one of our favourite UK tanneries.
