Our workshop is proud to be a maker of traditional sporrans- always hand stitched, always solid brass hardware, and always made with care. These day sporrans are available in the Mercantile now (and up on our site!), and can also be custom ordered with any colours, and even an insert in the flap panel.

Our sporran chains are made in Walsall especially for us by a generations-old family business, F Martin & Son, and we love using vintage belt buckles like the one here for kilt belts.

Both sporrans here feature J&E Sedgwick bridle leather, one of our favourite UK tanneries.

Did you know Simnel Cake has been made since medieval times?! A traditional part of Easter Sunday, simnel cake is a light fruit cake topped with marzipan and 11 marzipan “apostles”. In this case, our baker has made the marzipan from scratch!
Swing by the Mercantile for a slice of history, or DM us to reserve a whole cake. 🥚
