Introducing The Nurture Network!
I've been working together with Emma the Enterprise Manager at Midsteeple Quarter to create a new monthly networking event for women in business across Dumfries & Galloway. Whether you are just at the ideas stage or you are years into your business, everyone is welcome. Come as you are, have real conversations, make genuine connections, and leave feeling supported and inspired.
I'm not a huge fan of traditional networking. Walking into a room full of people I don't know fills me with fear, can feel icky and anxiety-inducing. But I know its an important part of running a business. So Emma and I wanted to create a relaxed, welcoming space where women can make connections, share skills and support each other without those feelings. Shaping the events was also informed by the responses I gathered from the results of a survey I created for members of my women in business Facebook group - Dumfries & Galloway Women in Business
Our first event is happening on Wednesday 29th July, 6-8pm at The Green Room, The Standard, 139 Dumfries High Street.
We will start the evening with an activity to connect in small groups and then I will deliver a practical workshop: Social Media Planning Without the Overwhelm. If you are looking to get more organised and strategic with your social media content, this is for you. Before Flourish I've spent over 25 years working in the creative industry, marketing, PR and further education, as well as a Creative Director for an award-winning social enterprise.
