Local customers can store their orders at our Heathall, Dumfries depot and collect it in whatever quantities they wish when it suits

Did you know wood briquettes are made from compressed wood fibres?

Wood briquettes are typically made from dried sawdust and other wood by-products that are compressed under high pressure.

This process removes the need for any additional binders in many products ( our products are all free from binders, glues and additives ) and creates a dense fuel with a lower moisture content than many traditional logs.

The result is a fuel that is easy to store, simple to handle and capable of producing a strong, consistent heat output when used correctly.

A great example of turning wood materials into an efficient heating fuel that would otherwise end up in landfill. 🪵🔥

Ah, the humble log… nature’s original home heater. 🪵🔥

Before fancy gadgets and high-tech heating solutions, there was a good old pile of seasoned logs keeping homes warm and cosy. But there’s more to a log than just throwing it on the fire and hoping for the best! 😉

🪵 Dry logs are happy logs – properly dried firewood burns more efficiently, gives off more heat, and creates a cleaner burn.

🔥 Size matters – smaller, well-split logs usually light easier and help your fire get going faster.

🌳 Not all wood burns the same – hardwoods like oak, ash, and beech are popular choices because they tend to burn slowly and provide long-lasting, steady heat. Other hardwoods like Birch, tend to burn pretty fast, but in return for this they burn hotter.
