Welcome to Pegasus 🤍
We’ve had lots of lovely new followers over the past few days after our gorgeous friends Chelsea & HARLOW WHITE shared their new bangles on their stories, so I thought it was probably time I introduced myself and told you a little about the people behind Pegasus Jewellery.
I’m Kim, founder and director of Pegasus, and beside me in this photo is my beautiful daughter Charlotte.
Horses are a huge part of our lives. Charlotte competes at top level in showing with our small team of ponies, which we produce ourselves from home. It was actually through showing that Charlotte met Harlow. She’s been lucky enough to ride Rolo at Harlow Live and feature in some of Harlow’s vlogs, but to us Harlow is simply the sweetest girl and a very good friend to Charlotte. 🤍
Pegasus itself has a very personal story.
I started the business after I had my beautiful kids. I needed something that would challenge my brain, give me a focus and, ultimately, help me find myself again.
Jewellery was already very much in my blood. My family has been in the fine diamond jewellery business since 1909, and combining that heritage with my lifelong passion for horses felt like the natural place to begin. So I started designing my own collection of equestrian-inspired jewellery - and Pegasus was born.
Since then, we’ve grown more than I could ever have imagined. Today, from our base in Dumfries in south-west Scotland, we send Pegasus pieces to customers all over the world. Aside from running a business and driving all over the U.K. to horse shows, I’m also a showing journalist for Horse & Hound covering all the top shows.
But we’re still very much a family business, created around a genuine love of horses and jewellery.
So whether you’ve been here for years or have only just discovered us this week, thank you for following, supporting and being part of our journey.
