Using the excuse to add some lettering to a new garden cat house.

I have two lovely cats šŸˆšŸ¾ called Hopper and Luna. Although I'm sure they don't appreciate the lettering, I like to personalise their new chill pad.

I used the All pencil in black and some .artsupplies acrylic paint markers for the lettering.

To finish it off and seal it I did use a Yacht varnish to protect it.

Sadly the flu got me so behind with my prompts! But I am playing catch up.

If you aren't new here, you will know I am making slow but considered changes to make my microbusiness something that aligns with me.

The changes are tough, as you get comfortable...but if I want growth I can't stay where I am.

My next step is to close me Etsy shop...it should be easy but its been a bit tougher than expected as I learned so much and it was good for a while.

Somehow its March again and I am taking part in I think its my fourth year!

Its come at the right time as I have been struggling to post again. Just over thinking everything! (Not like me at all šŸ˜¹)

I love finding fellow small businesses and creatives each March through March Meet the Maker and it helps me have a plan for what I can post. Thank you to the amazing who does this each year

A little February photo drop of what I've been up to.

1. I've been enjoying doing some letterig in my sketchbook, rather than just digitising everything I draw. Trying to keep having fun with lettering to help with creative block

2. The elements for my snail mail club have come together but I have been really slow figuring out shopify

3. I will be doing all the signage for my wedding in June and thanks to I have my practise workbook to learn and try out lettering styles

5. Lastly I finally finished designing our weddimg invitations and did a great job making them. I will share once they are all out! Currently all being posted.

Between two jobs, two kids and a wedding to plan I am finding it hard to make time to be creative...so I'm making time!

15 minutes isn't a lot...but it feels good to try do something in that time. Plus I can keep working on sketchbook work each 15 minutes or do something small.

Looking to share what I do to keep myself accountable. Alongside developing my lettering skills.

In June this year I am getting to marry my partner of 10 years and really want it to reflect us.

I wanted to design all the signage but it felt like a big task. I'd never done anything like it befofe and I knew a lot of research would need to be done.

Then I came across as I follow the talented . She has come out with an amazing idea to take the hard bit out and help you to creat your own wedding signage.

I recieved my first box (as it arrives monthly) which contains the pens I selected, acrylic place settings, a bumper workbook for lots of practice. There are also templates in the workbook to help line everything up on the place settings.

I will share my progress, where I can, beforenthe big day. But excited to see it all come together.
